How is AI impacting the way we live, relate and even understand human beings? The accelerating progress of artificial intelligence raises fundamental questions concerning our identity and social interactions.
On 10 November 2024 I will address this issue in a dedicated workshop at the Oratorio del Fanciullo in Fasano (BR), as part of the ‘3 year seminar on Family Counselling’ organised by the ESAS Diocesan Family Counselling Centre, based in Alberobello, Italy. From an anthropological perspective, we will explored the cultural and social implications of IA.

Prospects and anthropological implications
AI is not just a cutting-edge technology; it is a force that is turning the dynamics of everyday life and social interactions. We discussed how AI is reshaping the way we think at work, the way we communicate and even the values that frame relationships.
While artificial intelligence could be an ally in the fight against the climate crisis... on the other hand, its spread comes at a heavy environmental cost. With a critical and informed approach, we attempted to answer questions such as: Is AI safe or dangerous? Is AI a (recent) technology? Is AI safe or dangerous?
