I believe you, don't worry!

Over the past few weeks, I have started recording the third season of "Non se ne parla", the podcast I happily co-host with Francesca Svanera, which is made possible thanks to Meti.

The encounter with our guests is like a balm for the ears: it gives truthfulness to our feelings. Yet, unfortunately, apart from the safe spaces we are building brick by brick, we – as survivors – often end up being invalidated: sometimes by a news article, other times by a triggering photo, or by toxic behaviour.

We often observe this state of mind also in mutual aid groups: the feeling of not being believed. It can be even more painful for those who are processing their trauma at a early stage.

So if you're a survivor of childhood ab*se, please know that you are not alone, and that there are people who believe you and support you. And if you're someone who wants to support survivors, remember that believing them is a critical part of that process.

If you're feeling okay, take part in this debate with kindness 🫶🏽
